NOTICE: This site will look much better in a browser that supports web standards, but it is still accessible to any browser or Internet device.
This is the first incarnation of ketos, a website designed for students in the first year of Ancient Greek at the University of Waterloo. The exercises are designed to accompany the textbook Athenaze: an Introduction to Ancient Greek. For the most part, the vocabulary found in bold at the beginning of each chapter is used. Exercises come in two formats (flashcard and multiple choice) and focus on building various competencies (vocabulary, morphology, syntax, and translation). Flashcard exercises focus largely but not exclusively on nouns, adjectives, and pronouns and multiple choice exercises on verbs.
To check if your browser is displaying the Greek properly, compare:

If the words on the left match those on the right, then your browser is set up correctly. However, if any characters on the left are replaced by a question mark, box, or some other odd symbol, then follow these instructions to remedy this.
